Cancellation and
Fees Refund Policy

1. Purpose

This policy outlines the terms and conditions governing cancellation of enrolment and refund of fees for all online programs offered by Marwadi University, ensuring transparency, consistency, and compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all students enrolled in online programs offered directly or in collaboration with industry partners or third-party platforms.

3. Definitions

“Program Commencement” refers to the official start date as communicated by the University.

“Participant” refers to any enrolled student/candidate in an online program.

“Fees” include tuition fees and other applicable charges unless specified otherwise.

4. Cancellation Policy

a. Cancellation by Participant

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via the official university email ID. Requests must clearly mention student details, program name, and enrolment/registration number. Verbal or informal requests shall not be considered valid.

b. Cancellation by the University

Marwadi University reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify any program due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants shall be entitled to a full refund of fees paid, without any additional compensation.

5. Refund Policy

a. Before Program Commencement

If a cancellation request is received prior to the commencement of the program, the University shall process a refund after deduction of administrative charges

b. After Program Commencement

No refund shall be granted once the program has commenced, irrespective of attendance, login activity, or participation level.

c. Midway Withdrawal / Dropout

No refund, fee adjustment, or transfer shall be applicable for participants who withdraw or discontinue after the commencement of the program.

6. Non-Refundable Components

The Application / Registration Fees shall be strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.

7. Refund Processing

Approved refunds shall be processed within 15–30 working days from the date of formal approval. Refunds shall be made only through the original mode of payment. The University shall not be responsible for delays caused by banking or payment gateway processes.

* Refund Processing charges of Rs. 1000/- shall be deducted from the refundable amount for all programs.

The fee for each semester commenced or completed by the student up to the effective date of withdrawal/cancellation shall be calculated based on the applicable regular semester fee (without considering any scholarship, concession, waiver, or discount) prevailing at the time of admission, irrespective of the one-time fee paid.
In case a student has paid the fees through an EMI facility, then any processing, registration, penalty, or other applicable charges levied by the financial institution or service provider shall be borne solely by the student. The University shall not be liable for any such charges.

8. Transfer / Deferment Policy

Requests for batch transfer or deferment may be considered on a case-to-case basis, subject to:

Approval from the competent authority
Availability of seats
Payment of applicable administrative charges

9. Legal & Compliance Clause

This policy shall be governed by the rules and regulations of Marwadi University and applicable laws of India. Any disputes arising out of this policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in Rajkot, Gujarat. The University reserves the right to amend this policy at any time without prior notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

Marwadi University shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses incurred by the participant due to cancellation or withdrawal. Enrolment in the program constitutes acceptance of all terms stated in this policy.
